2016–2022 Models
- Locate the hood release lever on the left-hand side of the steering wheel below the dashboard.
- As you pull the lever up, you should hear the hood pop open slightly.
- Go around to the front of your car, and put your hand beneath the hood, just above the Honda symbol.
- If you shift your hand over a little bit to the left, you’ll feel the safety clutch.
- Push the safety clutch to the right.
- Raise the hood to open.
2007–2015 Models
Follow the steps below:
- Look by the footrest area on the driver’s side to locate the hood release lever.
- Pull the lever outwards.
- You should hear a pop as the hood opens slightly.
- Place your hand underneath the hood close to the center to feel the safety clutch.
- Pull the safety clutch up.
- Get out of the car and raise the hood to open.
