It is important to access your trunk with your GMC Acadia, just like any vehicle. The trunk on an Acadia is large and spacious. To open the trunk (or liftgate) on your GMC Acadia, simply follow the directions for your Acadia below.
Regardless of the model year, ensure the areas above and behind the liftgate are clear of dangers before opening it.

- Be careful when operating your liftgate to not move it too suddenly; objects behind or above the liftgate can damage it.
- If you cannot open your liftgate or get the power liftgate feature to function properly, you should take it to a certified GMC mechanic.
