2014 – 2022 Models with Sync 3

These models utilize Ford’s Sync 3 infotainment system.

Soft Reset (Does Not Delete Any Saved Data)

  1. Simultaneously press the Seek Up, and Stereo Power buttons on the front panel until the screen turns black.
  2. Wait at least three minutes for the system to complete the reset process.
  3. Press the Stereo Power button to turn the system back on.
  4. At this point, your SYNC 3 system should be reset.

Hard Reset (Deletes All Data; Restores to Factory Settings)

  1. Press Settings on your car Sync screen.
  2. Select General.
  3. Scroll down 🔽 and select Master Reset.
  4. Press continue to confirm your choice to reset the system.
  5. The system will turn off and may take a few minutes to reboot to factory settings.

2004 – 2013 Models with Sync Voice-Activated Navigation

  1. Press the Phone button.
  2. Press the settings tab on your Sync screen.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. Select the down 🔽 arrow until you can select Master Reset.
  5. Press yes to confirm a Master Reset.
