2014 – 2022 Models with Sync 3
These models utilize Ford’s Sync 3 infotainment system.
Soft Reset (Does Not Delete Any Saved Data)
- Simultaneously press the Seek Up, and Stereo Power buttons on the front panel until the screen turns black.
- Wait at least three minutes for the system to complete the reset process.
- Press the Stereo Power button to turn the system back on.
- At this point, your SYNC 3 system should be reset.
Hard Reset (Deletes All Data; Restores to Factory Settings)
- Press Settings on your car Sync screen.
- Select General.
- Scroll down 🔽 and select Master Reset.
- Press continue to confirm your choice to reset the system.
- The system will turn off and may take a few minutes to reboot to factory settings.
- Press the Phone button.
- Press the settings tab on your Sync screen.
- Select Advanced.
- Select the down 🔽 arrow until you can select Master Reset.
- Press yes to confirm a Master Reset.
