Connecting your phone to your Ford Mustang will enable you to perform turn-by-turn navigation, make hands-free calls, and stream music or podcasts. The steps below will connect your phone and you back on the road to your next adventure.
These steps are applicable whether you are using android or iPhone.
2021 – 2022 Models with SYNC4 & SYNC 4A
- Turn on your car.
- On your phone, turn on its Bluetooth and make your phone discoverable.
- Select the vehicle image on the left side of your SYNC screen.
- Select “Settings.”
- Select “Connectivity.”
- Select “Bluetooth.”
- Select “Add a Bluetooth Device.”
- On your phone, select your vehicle from the generated list.
- Confirm the displayed PIN as it appears on your phone and SYNC screen.
- A confirmation message will display when successfully connected.
2015 – 2020 Models with SYNC 3
- Turn on your car but don’t press the brake pedal.
- On your phone, turn on its Bluetooth and make your phone discoverable.
- At the bottom of your SYNC screen, select “Phone.”
- Select “Add Device.”
- From your phone, scan for Bluetooth devices.
- Select “SYNC” or the model of your vehicle (Mustang).
- Your phone may ask for you to enter a PIN as displayed on your SYNC screen, or you may need to simply confirm the PIN matches as displayed on your phone and SYNC screen.
- Select “Pair” on your phone.
- Select “Yes” on your SYNC screen.
- Your SYNC screen will display a “Pairing Successful” message.
