2017 – 2020 Models
- Open your phone’s Settings menu.
- Select Bluetooth, and turn it on.
- On the radio screen, click the phone icon, then go to Add Phone.
- You will hear a voice message telling you to search for your vehicle’s name on your phone.
- On your phone, touch on the Ford Fusion name.
- You will be prompted to pair the phone with the car.
- Ensure the PIN on the phone matches the one on the vehicle. If they match, click yes on the car, and pair it on the phone.
- A pop-up message will prompt you to allow or not allow the car to access your contacts. If you want to make phone calls through the car, you will allow it; if not, you don’t have to.
- You are now connected.
2010 – 2016 Models
- On the right side of your radio, press the phone button.
- Use the up or down arrows to scroll until you get to the Add Bluetooth Device command.
- Open the Settings on your phone and turn the Bluetooth on. Your phone will start searching for nearby Bluetooth devices to pair with.
- Click ok on your car’s radio to allow it to add a Bluetooth device.
- On your car radio, it will display FIND SYNC. Press ok, to display SYNC. A number will appear on the screen.
- On your phone, you will see that it has searched SYNC. Click on the word SYNC, and your phone will prompt you to enter a PIN.
- Enter the PIN on your car’s screen, and click pair.
- Your phone and your car are now connected.
2006 – 2009 Models
These older models of the Ford Fusion car are not Bluetooth enabled with their factory radio. You must use a Bluetooth kit to connect your phone to your car. These kits enable you to listen to music and make calls hands-free. These kits are cheap and easy to install.
Therefore, get a Bluetooth kit if you want to connect your phone to these Ford Fusion models.
