How to Set Clock & Date on the Ford Focus

A lot of Focus owners will have a 3rd generation (or Mark 3) Ford Focus, produced from 2010 onward in the U.S. In this vehicle, there are a couple of different ways to adjust your time and date, depending on the buttons available in your console.

First Method

The first method involves simply pushing the buttons situated to the right side of the clock. It only works for setting the time (not the date).

1. You should see two buttons next to the clock. The top button controls the hour and the lower button controls the minutes.
2. Push the top button to add an hour with each press. Alternatively, push the minute button repeatedly to add minutes.

Second Method

The second method is a little more in-depth, involving the “Menu” button on the radio unit. This gives you more control over the time and lets you set the date as well.

1. Turn on the radio.
2. Press the “Menu” button until you see a flashing clock appear.
3. Turn the volume wheel left or right to adjust the hours.
4. Press the circular button next to the “Menu” button to switch to minutes, and repeat the process until you’re happy with the set time.

How to Set the Time on a Focus with Touchscreen Display

• At the bottom of the screen, tap on the Settings button. Then tap on Clock. Use the buttons provided on screen to add or remove hours and minutes accordingly. You can also adjust the clock settings on the screen to change the display and switch between 12 and 24-hour clocks.
