Ford Flex: How to Reset TPMS

The TPMS light on your Ford Flex’s dashboard appears when one of your tires is low on pressure or when you’ve rotated or changed your tires. To resolve the issue and eliminate the warning light, inflate your tire pressures to the recommended PSI on the Tire and Loading Information Label.

The warning light should disappear after inflating the tires to the right pressure. If the light persists, drive the vehicle at 50 mph for ten minutes. If the light lingers even after the drive, you need to reset the TPMS manually using a relearning tool.

Below is the process to relearn the TPMS on the Ford Flex.

Note: You will need a TPMS Relearn Tool to complete the reset.

  1. Place your vehicle in the Park position and turn off the engine.
  2. Press and release the brake pedal once.
  3. Turn the ignition On/Off 3x, ending in the On position. Do the same with vehicles with the START/STOP button ending with the START position.
  4. Press and release the brake pedal again.
  5. Turn the ignition On/Off 3x, ending in the On position. Do the same with vehicles with the START/STOP button ending with the START position.
  6. The car should honk or beep twice, and a Train Left Front Tire message should appear on the dashboard.
  7. Working swiftly, place the relearn tool against the tire, near the valve stems, and press the relearn button. You should hear a chime to confirm the relearn was successful.
  8. Repeat the process with the other tires.
  9. Turn the ignition to the Off position.

You have successfully reset the TPMS on your vehicle.
