Ford Flex: How to Reset Stereo System

If you want to reset your stereo system, follow the instructions below. Ford produced the Flex from 2009 until 2019, with a major revision in 2012.

Please note that the specific procedure to use depends on whether or not your system has a power button. For convenience, the instructions for 2009 – 2012 assume that there is no power button. An older model may have a power button. In that case, follow the instructions for the 2013 – 2019 models.

2013 – 2019 Models (with Power Button)

1. Press and hold the power button (at the center of the volume knob) for 10 seconds.
2. At the same time, press and hold the seek right button (at the bottom right of your audio panel) for 10 seconds.
3. Your system will reset.

2009 – 2012 Models (without Power Button)

1. Press and hold the volume down (on the steering wheel control panel) for 10 seconds.
2. At the same time, press and hold the seek right (on the steering wheel control panel) for 10 seconds.
3. Your system will reset.

Note: You should not lose any stored information by resetting your stereo system.
