2009 – 2023 Models

After Ford partnered with Microsoft, the SYNC became the proprietary system on the Ford Fiesta. To Perform a SYNC master reset:

  1. Select BLUETOOTH from the settings menu on your phone.
  2. Find SYNC, and delete it.
  3. Press the MENU button on your head unit screen.
  4. Scroll to SYNC Settings, then Master Reset.

1995 – 2008 Models

  1. Turn off the stereo system and remove the key from the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery using a wrench or pliers. Make sure you don’t touch the positive terminal with the negative cable.
  3. Wait 15-30 minutes for the stereo system to fully discharge and reset.
  4. Reconnect the negative battery cable to the battery and tighten it with a wrench or pliers.
  5. Turn on the ignition and the stereo system to see if the reset was successful.
