Ford Escape: How to Open the Hood

2001 – 2022 Models

1. Pull the hood release lever at the bottom left corner of the instrument panel.
2. The hood will pop slightly.
3. Go to the vehicle’s front.
4. Locate the auxiliary hood release latch and push it to the right to release the hood.
5. Lift the hood and open it fully.
6. Pull the hood support rod and insert it into its slot to keep the hood open.
