Ford Bronco: How to Perform Oil Reset

The Ford Bronco will notify you that oil change service is due by displaying an “Change Engine Oil Soon” message. Once maintenance service has been performed on the vehicle, you can use these steps to perform an oil reset on the system.

2021 – 2023 Models

  1. Ensure that the ignition button of your car is turned to the ON position.
  2. Click the “Settings” button on the steering wheel.
  3. Use the toggle switch to navigate to the “Oil Life” option.
  4. Select the “Reset” button.
  5. Confirm the reset by pressing the “OK” button.
  6. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to complete the process.

1995 – 1996 Models

  1. Start the vehicle.
  2. Press and release the Select/Reset button (located on the instrument cluster) until the Oil Life Remaining display appears.
  3. Press and release the Select/Reset button (located on the instrument cluster) until the oil life indicator is reset to 100%.
  4. Turn the ignition off.

These steps should work for all 2021 and 2022 models of the Ford Bronco. If the steps do not work for you, consider taking the vehicle to an authorized service center to perform the oil reset.
