No more purchasing high-cost key fobs from the dealership as those days are gone thanks to this awesome new innovated trick which enables you to reprogram your own Key Fob/Remote in a matter of minutes. This can also be executed the same way for most Ford models with either 3 or 4 buttons on the remote. Begin with all doors closed and feet off of the brake and accelerator, perform the following short steps:
1998-2011 Models
Option A
- Insert key in the ignition.
- Without cranking the vehicle- Turn the key from OFF to ON 8x’s FAST (Off On, Off On, Off On etc).
- At the 8th Off/On turn, the vehicle will Lock then Unlock automatically .
- Press the buttons on your remote and DONE!!
To Program a 2nd Remote: Follow the same steps above, but when the vehicle automatically locks>
- Press the 1st Remote.
- The vehicle will lock or unlock.
- Then press the 2nd Remote.
- Re-Program COMPLETE!!
Option B
- Insert key in the ignition
- Without cranking the vehicle- Turn the key from OFF to ON 4x’s FAST within 6 seconds
- The system should emit a sound indicating it is now ready for programming
- Quickly press any button on your Remote/Key Fob. You will hear a confirmation sound DONE!!
- Quickly press any button on your 2nd remote to program it as well DONE!!

Option C
- Close all doors except Driver’s side.
- Insert key in the ignition.
- Without cranking the vehicle- Turn the key from OFF to ON 8x’s FAST (Off On, Off On, Off On etc).
- At the 8th Off/On turn, the vehicle will Lock then Unlock automatically.
- Press the buttons on your remote and DONE!!
2012- 2019 Models
To start, you will need 2 already programmed keys and a new key fob to program. If you do not possess 2 programmed fobs, you cannot program a new fob, only an authorized dealer can achieve this.
- Insert the first previously programmed key into the ignition.
- Without cranking the vehicle- Turn the key from OFF to ON. Keep it the ON position for at least 3 seconds, not more than 10 seconds.
- After 10 seconds, turn the ignition OFF and remove the coded key from the ignition.
- Wait 3 seconds, do not exceed 10 seconds, then insert the 2nd coded key into the ignition.
- Turn the ignition from OFF to ON. Keep it the ON position for at least 3 seconds, not more than 10 seconds.
- After 10 seconds, turn the ignition OFF and remove the coded key from the ignition.
- Wait 3 seconds, not exceeding 10 seconds, insert the new unprogrammed key into the ignition.
- Turn the ignition from OFF to ON. Keep it the ON position for at least 6 seconds.
- DONE!! Remove the new key from the ignition. You should now be able to Lock, Unlock & Start your vehicle with your New Key Fob.
** NOTE: If you were not successful in programming the New fob, wait 10 seconds and repeat the chosen options steps. If you are still unsuccessful, contact the dealership for assistance or consult your vehicle user’s manual.
