After receiving an oil change, you’ll have to reset the oil light manually. Learn how to reset the oil maintenance light on the Fiat 500 vehicle using these steps.
500C Models
- Turn the ignition to ON. Do not start the engine.
- Slowly press the accelerator pedal all the way down three times within 10 seconds.
- Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
- Now start the engine and the oil maintenance light will be reset.
500L Models
- Turn the ignition to ON. Do not start the engine.
- Use the buttons on the steering wheel to toggle to “Settings“, then select the Right Arrow.
- Toggle the selection ton “Vehicle Menu“, then select the Right Arrow.
- Scroll to “Oil Life“, then select the Right Arrow.”
- Press and hold the “OK” button until “Reset Successful” appears on the screen.

Also worked on my 500 Turbo.
Didnt work on my 2015 Fiat 500…key on push gas pedal 3 times turn off key…I tried at least 10 times. This was after changing the oil and filter. I guess a 50 mile trip to Fiat I was trying to avoid is next.
