Dodge Ram: How to Connect a Phone

Every car owner/driver wants to connect their phone to the vehicle. Most want to stream music, podcasts, or make calls. Below are directions for connecting a phone to a Dodge Ram.

2013 – 2023 Models

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Tap Bluetooth.
  3. Tap Phone on the car touch screen.
  4. Tap Add Device.
  5. Tap UConnect in the Bluetooth options on your phone.
  6. Verify the PIN on your phone is the same as on the touch screen.
  7. Tap Yes on the touch screen.
  8. Tap Pair on your phone.
  9. Your phone is now connected.

2012 Models

  1. Press the Phone button.
  2. The car system will say, “Ready.”
  3. Say “Device Pairing.”
  4. Say “Pair a Device” when prompted. The system will ask you to say a PIN.
  5. Say the PIN you want to use. You will need this later in the process.
  6. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  7. Tap Bluetooth.
  8. Tap the Bluetooth option for your car.
  9. Enter the PIN you gave the system.
  10. When prompted, give your phone a name.
  11. Assign your phone a priority level of one to seven. Number one is the highest priority, and seven is the lowest priority.

2010 – 2011 Models

  1. Press the Phone button. The car system will begin to list options of things you can do.
  2. Say, “UConnect Phone Setup.”
  3. Say “Phone Pairing” when prompted.
  4. Say, “Pair a Phone.” The system will ask you to say a PIN.
  5. Say the PIN you want to use. You will need this later in the process.
  6. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  7. Tap Bluetooth.
  8. Tap the Bluetooth option on your car.
