Almost every car driver/owner has a phone they want to connect to their car. Drivers and passengers enjoy streaming music and podcasts and making calls through the car’s stereo system.
Below are directions for connecting a phone to a Dodge Journey.

2011 – 2020 Models
Touchscreen
- Open the Settings app on your phone.
- Tap Bluetooth.
- Press the Phone button on the steering wheel or tap Settings, More, and Phone on the touch screen.
- Tap Add Device. If you have no phone connected, tap Yes when asked if you want to pair a phone.
- Tap UConnect in the Bluetooth options on your phone.
- Enter a PIN on your phone when prompted.
- The touchscreen will display a message when the pairing is successful. You will be asked if you want to make your phone the favorite. Tap Yes or No as you choose.
OR
- Open the Settings app on your phone.
- Tap Bluetooth.
- Tap the Phone on the touchscreen.
- Tap Add Device.
- Tap UConnect in the Bluetooth options on your phone.
- Verify the PIN on your phone is the same as on the touchscreen.
- Tap Yes on the touchscreen.
- Tap Pair on your phone.
- Your phone is now connected.
2009 – 2010 Models
- Press the Phone button.
- The car system will say, “Ready.”
- Say “Setup Phone Pairing.”
- Say “Pair a Phone” when prompted. The system will ask you to say a PIN.
- Say the PIN you want to use. You will need this later in the process.
- Open the Settings app on your phone.
- Tap Bluetooth.
- Tap the Bluetooth option for your car.
- Enter the PIN you gave the system.
- When prompted, give your phone a name.
- Assign your phone a priority level of one to seven. Number one is the highest priority, and seven is the lowest priority.
