If you no longer need to be reminded by your Dodge Durango with a message there is an “Oil Change Due” or “Oil Change Required” on the instrument panel, you can reset the oil change light using these steps.
Contents
2016 – 2023 Models
- With the engine off, turn the ignition switch to “On” without starting the engine.
- Use the buttons on the steering wheel to select “OK,” then use the arrows to toggle the selection to “Vehicle Info.”
- Scroll to where the “Oil Life” is selected.
- Press and hold the “OK” button until the Oil Life is reset to 100%
1997 – 2015 Models
- With the engine off, turn the ignition switch to “On” without starting the engine.
- Within a 10-second interval, push the accelerator pedal all the way down slowly three times.
- Turn the ignition switch to the “LOC” position.
The next time you start your Dodge Durango, the “Oil Change Required” light should no longer be lit. Remember that if you don’t reset the light, it will be tougher to know when it’s time to get an oil change!
