Dodge Durango: How to Release/Open Fuel Door

Dodge Durango cars require fuel to run. If you let the tank get too low, you will not be driving anywhere. Sometimes car manufacturers make subtle changes to opening the fuel door.

Below are directions for opening or releasing the fuel door of a Dodge Durango.

2021 – 2023 Models

1. Exit the vehicle and walk to the fuel door on the rear of the vehicle.
2. Press on thecenter-rear edge of the fuel door. The door will pop open slightly.
3. Pull the door open.

2010 – 2020 Models

1. Press the fuel door release button on the dash on the left side of the steering wheel.
2. Walk to the fuel door on the rear of the vehicle.
3. Pull open the fuel door.

1997 – 2008 Models

1. Exit the vehicle and walk to the rear left side of the vehicle.
2. Slide a finger under the lip on the fuel door.
3. Pull the door open.
