The Dodge Charger has a wireless key fob that allows you to lock and unlock the doors and even start the car without a key. This can sometimes be a problem if the battery in the key fob is low or dead. When this happens, the display on the instrument panel may display a message that say “No Remote Detected” or “Replace Battery in Remote Key“.

2020 – 2023 Models
If you don’t have a CR2032 battery available to replace the one in the remote, you can still unlock the doors and start the car.
- To unlock the driver’s door, you’ll need to remove the key hidden in the fob. Flip the fob over.
- Slide the switch in the top left, and pull out the silver key.
- Use the key to unlock the door. Then replace the key in the fob.
- With your foot on the brake, push the start button with the fob.
2011 – 2019 Models
- The fob battery is low or dead if the engine does not start when pushing the button.
- Place the nose side of the Fob (opposite end from the emergency key) against the Start/Stop button.
- Push the Start/Stop button.
