Car owners/drivers must perform basic maintenance on their vehicles every so often. These tasks keep the car in working order and do not require much mechanical knowledge. Each task requires the car owner/driver to open the hood.
Now if you aren’t familiar with a Dodge Charger and need to open the hood, you don’t want to waste time looking for a lever or button. Below are directions for opening the hood on a Dodge Charger.
2006 – 2023 Models
- Pull the lever under the dash. The lever will be on the left side.
- Exit the vehicle and walk to the front.
- Slide your hand under the hood near the center.
- Push the safety catch to the left.
- Lift the hood up.
- Keep the hood open with the Hood Prop if your model has one.
Closing the Hood: When closing the hood, do not slam it shut. Slamming the hood can cause damage to your car. Lower the hood down and press firmly to engage both latches.
