Once you performed service and changed the oil in the Dodge Challenger, you will want to reset the Oil Life. Resetting the Oil Life will clear the “Oil Change Required” message that appears on the display. Just use these steps in this guide.

2015 – 2023 Models
Option 1 – Using Gas Pedal
- Turn the electronics on by tuning the ignition to the first position. For push button models, press the “Engine Start/Stop” button once. Do not press the brake pedal.
- Press the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor 3 times within 10 seconds.
- Turn the ignition off. For push button models, Press the “Engine Start/Stop” button once without pressing the brake.
The Engine Oil Life has been reset to 100%
Option 2 – Using Instrument Cluster Display
- Turn the electronics on by tuning the ignition to the first position. For push button models, press the “Engine Start/Stop” button once. Do not press the brake pedal.
- Press 🔽 to scroll to “Vehicle Info.”
- Press ▶️ to toggle to “Oil Life.”
- Press and hold the “OK” button until the display shows the Oil Life is 100%.
2012 – 2014 Models
Option 1
- Set the Start button to On/Run. Do NOT start the engine.
- Press the gas pedal down 3x in 10 seconds.
- Press the Start button to turn off the car.
Option 2
- Turn the key to On. Do NOT start the engine.
- Press the gas pedal down 3x in 10 seconds.
- Press the Start button to turn off the car.
2009 – 2011 Models
- Turn the key to On. Do NOT start the engine.
- Press the gas pedal down 3x in 10 seconds.
- Press the Start button to turn off the car.
