Dodge Challenger: How to Release/Open Fuel Door

Dodge Challengers need gas to run. If the tank is empty, it isn’t going anywhere. Filling up the tank is not a daily task, but it depends on how many miles you drive and how often. However, you need to open the fuel door before you can pump gas into the tank.

Opening the fuel door isn’t a complex thing to do. Below are directions for opening or releasing the fuel door on a Dodge Challenger.

  1. Exit the vehicle and walk to the rear left side of the car.
  2. Slide a finger under the lip on the fuel door.
  3. Pull the door open.

Closing the Fuel Door:

Push the fuel door closed. There are no latches that will engage. The door will remain closed until you pull it open again.

Note: If you have trouble opening your fuel door, consider taking the vehicle to a certified mechanic or dealership.
