Dodge Avenger: How to Connect a Phone

For most people, a phone is an essential piece of equipment these days. Having the ability to connect your phone to your car has also become essential. Below are the directions for connecting a phone to the Dodge Avenger.

2011 – 2014 Models

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Tap Bluetooth.
  3. Press the Phone button in your vehicle.
  4. The UConnect system will say “Ready.” The system will begin listing options of things you can say.
  5. When prompted, say, “Device Pairing.”
  6. Say, “Pair a Device,” when prompted.
  7. Follow the prompts as the system gives them to you.
  8. The system will request you say a four-digit PIN to enter later into your phone.
  9. After connecting your phone to the vehicle, you will be asked to assign it a name. Say the name you want the system to use.
  10. When prompted, give your phone a priority level between 1 and 7. The number 1 is the highest and 7 the lowest.

2008 – 2010 Models

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Tap Bluetooth.
  3. Press the Phone button in your vehicle.
  4. The UConnect system will say “Ready.” The system will begin listing options of things you can say.
  5. When prompted, say, “Setup Phone Pairing.”
  6. Say, “Pair a Phone,” when prompted.
  7. Follow the prompts as the system gives them to you.
  8. The system will ask you to say a four-digit PIN to enter later into your phone.
  9. After connecting your phone to the vehicle, you will be asked to assign it a name. Say the name you want the system to use.
  10. When prompted, give your phone a priority level between 1 and 7. The number 1 is the highest and 7 the lowest.

1995 – 2000 Models

These models did not have Bluetooth capabilities. However, you can play music via an AUX cord, tape adapter, installing an aftermarket radio, or using a Bluetooth FM transmitter.
