Opening the hood of your Chrysler Pacifica allows the engine to cool down. As a result, the core parts of your car will last longer. However, it can be tricky to open the hood if this is the first time you have done it. But, if you follow the instructions in this article, you will have no problem opening the hood of a Chrysler Pacifica.
2010-2023 Models
- Release the hood release lever and the safety latch to open the primary and second latch consecutively.
- Get in your car. On the driver’s side, look under the instrument panel. You will see the hood release lever.
- Pull the lever towards you.
- Get out of the vehicle and go to the front of the car. (it’s where the hood is located.)
- Behind the center front edge of the hood, you will see the safety latch. Pull it towards the passenger side of the vehicle.
- Ensure the wipers are not moving and or lifted. This is to prevent them from getting broken.
- Use both hands to lift the hood.
- Remove the support rod from the locking tab and put it on the seat under the hood.
- Your hood is now open.
