Chrysler 200 & 300: How to Reset Oil Change Light Notification

Every vehicle requires proper maintenance to keep it running. For example, the oil must be changed regularly to keep the engine properly lubricated. Most cars have a system that will warn drivers/owners when the oil needs to be changed. After changing the oil, the system must be reset.

Below are directions for resetting the oil change light on a Chrysler 200 and 300.

300 Models

2015 – 2023 Models

  1. Press the Start button to On/Run. Do NOT start the engine.
  2. Press the down arrow to reach the Vehicle Info menu.
  3. Press the right arrow to reach the Oil Life menu.
  4. Press and hold the Ok button.
  5. The reset is complete when the percentage changes to 100%.

2011 – 2014 Models

  1. Press the Start button to On/Run. Do NOT start the engine.
  2. Press the gas pedal down 3x in 10 seconds.
  3. Press the Start button to turn off the car.

2005 – 2010 Models

  1. Turn the key to On. Do NOT start the engine.
  2. Press the gas pedal down 3x in 10 seconds.
  3. Turn the key to Off.

200 Models

2015 – 2017 Models

  1. Press the Start button to On/Run. Do NOT start the engine.
  2. Press the gas pedal down 3x in 10 seconds.
  3. Press the Start button to turn off the car.

2011 – 2014 Models

  1. Turn the key to On. Do NOT start the engine.
  2. Press the gas pedal down 3x in 10 seconds.
  3. Turn the key to Off.
