Chevy Traverse: Connect a Phone

Connecting your phone to your Chevy Traverse allows you to perform hands-free calls, turn-by-turn navigation, and music capabilities as you drive. Unfortunately, few know that their Chevy Traverse has this feature, or they may struggle to make the connection. If you fall under any of these categories, we are here to help you regardless of the Chevy Traverse model you are driving.

2020 – 2022

  1. Navigate to your phone Settings and turn on your Bluetooth. You might also have to turn on visibility depending on the type and model of the phone you are using.
  2. On your car’s display on the center stack, navigate to your keypad tab to find the Connect Phone option and tap it.
  3. Select Add Phone.
  4. From your phone, locate myChevrolet option (it’s usually at the bottom of your Bluetooth listings) and tap it.
  5. Accept the pairing request on your phone and your car’s display. Your phone is now connected to your car, and you can enjoy all the benefits that come with it.

2015 – 2019

  1. Navigate to your phone Settings and turn on your Bluetooth. You might also have to turn on visibility depending on the type and model of the phone you are using.
  2. On your car’s display located on the center stack, navigate to the phone 📞 button and click it.
  3. Click Pair Device on your car display.
  4. From your phone’s Bluetooth options, select ChevyMyLink and Pair.
  5. Your phone and Chevy Traverse are now connected.

​2012 – 2014

  1. Turn on your phone’s Bluetooth via your phone settings.
  2. Push the Bluetooth button on your steering wheel to prompt your car assistant.
  3. When you hear the word “Ready” from the assistant, say “Bluetooth.”
  4. When the virtual assistant asks you if you want to pair your device, simply say “Pair.”
  5. Click pair device from your mobile phone and key in the pin provided by the virtual assistant.
  6. Once paired, you may be asked to sync your contacts for better utilization, but you can opt-in or out of this feature.
