2015 – 2022 Models

  1. Locate the hood release lever in the car’s cabin close to the left-side bottom of the dashboard.
  2. Pull the release lever outward. The hood will open slightly.
  3. Place your hand under the hood above the Chevy symbol to feel the safety clutch.
  4. Move the safety clutch to the right.
  5. Raise the hood to open.

2000 – 2014 Models

  1. Locate the hood release lever in the car’s cabin close to the driver’s footrest.
  2. Pull the release lever outwards. The hood will pop open.
  3. Place your hand underneath the hood close to its center to feel the safety clutch.
  4. Pull the safety clutch upwards.
  5. Raise the hood to open.
