Chevy Malibu: Enable/Disable Auto Braking System

The Chevy Malibu has a feature that will automatically engage the brakes to avoid a forward collision. The feature is called the “Forward Collision System”. Some people may call it the “Auto Braking System”. Whatever you decide to call it, you can turn this feature on or off using these steps.

  1. Press the Home button on the stereo, then select “Settings“.
  2. Choose “Vehicle“.
  3. Select “Collision/Detection Systems“.
  4. Select “Forward Collision System“.
  5. Select “On” or “Off” as desired.
