2019 – 2023 Models
Paired Device
- Enable Bluetooth on your phone.
- Select “Phone” on the stereo, or press on the steering wheel.
- Select “Pair.”
- Your phone should list Malibu as a Bluetooth device. Tap it on the phone to pair.
- If prompted for a PIN on the phone, enter “1234“.
No Paired Device
- Enable Bluetooth on your phone.
- Select “Phone” on the stereo, or press on the steering wheel.
- Select “Menu” > “Bluetooth Devices“.
- Press “Menu” to choose the device.
- If prompted for a PIN on the phone, enter “1234“.
- Select “Add” if the devices did not pair.
2017 – 2018 Models
- Turn ON the infotainment center.
- Press the Home button below the screen.
- On the home screen, press the Phone icon.
- Press Pair Device.
- Open the Settings app on your phone and go to the Bluetooth section.
- In the Bluetooth menu, tap the Chevrolet MyLink option.
- Match the PIN on your device and the phone, and tap Pair.
2015 – 2016 Models
- Turn ON the infotainment center.
- Press the Home button below the screen.
- On the home screen, press the Phone icon.
- Tap Phone Settings.
- Tap Bluetooth.
- Tap Pair Device.
- Open the Settings app on your phone and go to the Bluetooth section.
- In the Bluetooth menu, tap the Chevrolet Malibu option.
- Match the PIN on your device and the phone, and tap Pair.
2013 – 2014 Models
- Open the Settings app on your phone and go to the Bluetooth section.
- Press the Configure button on the center console.
- Use the Tune/Menu knob to scroll down to Phone Settings.
- Select Bluetooth.
- Then select Pair Device (Phone).
- The computer system voice will prompt you to select Your Vehicle on your phone’s Bluetooth menu.
- Enter the code that is displayed on the entertainment center screen.
- The car will ask you what label you want to give your phone. When prompted, say what you want your phone to be called.
- Your phone will ask you to confirm the name. Once you say “yes,” your phone is connected to your car.
2011 – 2012 Models
- Hold down the phone button on the far right of the steering wheel. It has a picture of a phone and someone talking on it. Your car system will say, “Ready.”
- Say Bluetooth. Your car will ask if you want to do several different actions.
- Say Pair. Your car will prompt you to “Do a Bluetooth search on your phone.”
- Open the Settings app on your phone and go to the Bluetooth section.
- When it opens, select Your Vehicle.
- You will then be prompted to enter a PIN. This number is displayed on your car’s radio screen. Also, your car will say the PIN out loud.
- The car will ask you what label you want to give your phone. When prompted, say what you want your phone to be called.
- Your phone will ask you to confirm the name. Once you say “yes,” your phone is connected to your car.

I have a 2012 Malibu and it will connect my Google Pixel to it’s BT but won’t play any of my music. Just let’s me make calls. How can I change this please?
I connected my bt my 2011 Malibu but I could only make calls how can I hear my music
I think it’s that you go to your bluetooth and go to the setting of the device your connected to and activate audio
I have a 2018 Malibu and I can not sync my phone to my car. Also, has anyone had trouble with the charging ports. My car has been to the dealer several times Bc of this same issue.
