Chevy Malibu: Connect a Phone

Bluetooth lets you connect your mobile device to your Chevy Malibu MyLink multimedia system. When connected, you can perform various tasks using your phone, such as music streaming, navigation, and making calls.

2007 – 2022

  1. When parked, turn on your vehicle and the MyLink system.
  2. On your phone, navigate to Settings and turn on your Bluetooth.
  3. Select the phone 📞 icon on the MyLink screen.
  4. Select Connect Phone.
  5. Select Add Phone.
  6. On your phone Bluetooth section, select Chevy Malibu MyLink.
  7. Your MyLink system will provide you a code; enter the code on your phone.
  8. Select Pair on your phone.
  9. Your devices will pair, and you can now utilize your phone hands-free.

2000 – 2006

  1. When parked, turn on your vehicle and the MyLink system.
  2. On your phone, navigate to Settings and turn on your Bluetooth.
  3. On your steering wheel, press the phone 📞 button.
  4. Say aloud, “Bluetooth.”
  5. Say aloud, “Pair.”
  6. On your phone Bluetooth section, select Chevy Malibu.
  7. Your phone will request a PIN which your Chevy Malibu will provide verbally to you. After you key in the PIN on your phone, the two devices will pair.
  8. Your devices will pair, and you can now utilize your phone hands-free.

1997 – 1999

Earlier Chevy Malibu models do not allow Bluetooth connection to a phone.
