Chevy Impala: Connect a Phone

While versions of the Chevy Impala have been around for decades since 2012, the Chevy Impala offers Bluetooth capabilities. A Bluetooth system allows you to connect your phone to your stereo speakers when making and receiving calls. The Chevy Impala can connect up to five phones which is ideal for sharing your car with a spouse or young driver.

2018-2022

  1. With your car in park, turn your vehicle on, and ensure your car touchscreen is on.
  2. Touch the phone icon 📞 on your touchscreen.
  3. When looking at your touchscreen, you can “Add Phone,” “Connect Phone,” or “+.”
  4. Unlock your phone, turn on your Bluetooth via settings, and select your car from the list of available options.
  5. Once you select your car on your phone, confirm that your phone and car have a matching code visible on the screens.
  6. Touch “Pair” on either your car touchscreen or phone.
  7. Next, you will be prompted to agree or disagree to allow your car touchscreen access to your phone messages and contacts. If you disagree, you can still make calls, but you will need to say the actual phone number, such as “Call 111-111-1111,” instead of saying, “Call Mom.”
  8. Once paired, your car touchscreen will indicate that your phone can now make or receive calls.

2012-2017

  1. With your car in park, turn your vehicle on, and ensure your car radio is on.
  2. Using the button on your steering wheel, press the phone icon 📞 down until you hear a beep.
  3. Say aloud, “Bluetooth.”
  4. Say aloud, “Pair.”
  5. Unlock your phone, turn on your Bluetooth via settings, and select your car from the list of available options.
  6. Your Chevy Impala will be provided a four-digit code to input into your phone to pair the devices. Click “Pair” on your phone screen to complete the pairing.
  7. Your car may then ask if you want to label your phone. You can say aloud, “Tom’s Phone,” for example.
