If your stereo is giving your grief, it may be time to reset it. Follow the instructions below to get your stereo system back in business.

2021 – 2023 Models
- Turn the ignition to the “On” position without starting the engine.
- Turn on the stereo by pressing the “Power” button.
- Press the “Home” button on the touchscreen display.
- Navigate to the “Settings” option using the touchscreen display, then select it by tapping on it.
- Scroll to the “System” option and select it by tapping on it.
- Scroll to the “Factory Reset” option and select it by tapping on it.
- Select “Yes” to confirm that you want to reset the stereo to its factory settings.
- Wait for the stereo to reset, which may take a few seconds. You should see a message on the screen indicating the reset was successful.
- Turn off the stereo by pressing the “Power” button, then turn off the ignition.
2015 – 2020 Models
- Turn the ignition to the “On” position without starting the engine.
- Turn on the stereo by pressing the “Power” button.
- Press and hold the “Home” button on the touchscreen display for a few seconds until the “Home” screen appears.
- Navigate to the “Settings” option using the touchscreen display, then select it by tapping on it.
- Navigate to the “Radio” option using the touchscreen display, then select it by tapping on it.
- Navigate to the “Restore Factory Settings” option using the touchscreen display, then select it by tapping on it.
- Select “Yes” to confirm that you want to reset the stereo to its factory settings.
- Wait for the stereo to reset, which may take a few seconds. You should see a message on the screen indicating the reset was successful.
- Turn off the stereo by pressing the “Power” button, then turn off the ignition.
2007 – 2014 Models
- Turn the ignition to the “On” position without starting the engine.
- Turn on the stereo by pressing the “Power” button.
- Press and hold the “Settings” button on the touchscreen display for a few seconds until the “Settings” menu appears.
- Navigate to the “Radio” option using the touchscreen display, then select it by tapping on it.
- Navigate to the “Restore Factory Settings” option using the touchscreen display, then select it by tapping on it.
- Select “Yes” to confirm that you want to reset the stereo to its factory settings.
- Wait for the stereo to reset, which may take a few seconds. You should see a message on the screen indicating the reset was successful.

2002 – 2006 Models
- Turn the ignition to the “On” position without starting the engine.
- Turn on the stereo by pressing the “Power” button.
- Press and hold the “DISP” button until the menu appears on the screen.
- Use the “TUNE” knob to navigate to the “SETUP” option, and then press the “DISP” button to select it.
- Use the “TUNE” knob to navigate to the “RESET ALL” option, and then press the “DISP” button to select it.
- Use the “TUNE” knob to select “YES” when prompted to confirm that you want to reset the stereo.
- Wait for the stereo to reset, which may take a few seconds. You should see a message on the screen indicating the reset was successful.
- Turn off the stereo by pressing the “Power” button, then turn off the ignition.
1999 – 2000 Models
- Turn the ignition to the “On” position without starting the engine.
- Turn on the stereo by pressing the “Power” button.
- Press and hold the “AM/FM” and “SCAN” buttons simultaneously for five seconds. The stereo will display “Locked” or “Theftlock” on the screen.
- Wait for the stereo to display “LOC” on the screen. This may take a few seconds.
- Use the “MIN” and “HR” buttons to enter the four-digit code for your stereo. If you don’t have the code, you can obtain it from a Cadillac dealer or by contacting the manufacturer.
- Press the “AM/FM” button to unlock the stereo. The stereo will display “SEC” for a few seconds, indicating it is unlocked.
- Turn off the stereo by pressing the “Power” button, then turn off the ignition.
Tips
- If the stereo does not reset after following the instructions, try again.
- Contact a Cadillac dealer for assistance if the stereo still does not reset.
