Buick Encore: Connect a Phone

You must install the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto app to connect your phone to the Buick Encore. Once you’ve installed the app, connect your phone through USB and follow the on-screen instructions.

2015 – 2022 Models

There are a few methods to connect your phone with the Buick Encore:

1.  Switch between your phone and the car’s Bluetooth and link the two devices. Your vehicle can access your phone’s contacts, music, and other services once synced.
2. A USB cord is another option for connecting your phone. Most recent car models feature a USB port where you can connect your phone.

Connect via Bluetooth

1. Ensure your phone is compatible with your car’s infotainment system.
2. Next, locate the vehicle’s infotainment system and select Bluetooth settings.
3. Once in the Bluetooth settings, choose to “pair” or “connect” your phone to the automobile.
4. To finish the pairing procedure, follow the prompts on your phone and the car’s infotainment system.
5. After you’ve linked your phone to the car, you should be able to utilize all of the Bluetooth functions.

Connect via a USB Cable

1. Ensure your phone is compatible with your car’s infotainment system.
2. Locate the car’s USB port and install your phone’s charging wire.
3. Access your phone’s functions through the car’s infotainment system once you have connected your phone to the charging wire.
4. Use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to connect your phone to the vehicle.

2010 – 2014 Models

1. Start the car and put it in park.
2. Tap the Phone 📞 symbol on the touch screen of your vehicle.
3. Look for an option to add or connect a new phone on the screen. “Add Phone,” “Pair Device,” “Connect Phone,” or “+” may appear.
4. Navigate to your phone’s Bluetooth settings, activate Bluetooth, and choose your car from the list of possibilities.
5. Confirm that the code on the phone matches the code on the infotainment touch screen.
6. Press the Pair button on the infotainment touch screen. You may also need to approve the pairing on your device.
7. If requested, accept (or reject) to allow the infotainment system to access the contacts and messages on your phone.
8. When the pairing completes, the infotainment screen will indicate your phone is ready to make and receive calls.
