Buick Enclave: How to Connect a Phone

Listening to music, answering phone calls and reading messages from your phone on your Buick Enclave is easy once you connect your phone to your car. Follow these steps to connect your phone to your car model.

2020-2023 Models

  1. Open your phone’s settings menu, go to Bluetooth, and turn it ON
  2. Click on the phone icon on your car display screen, then select connect phone.
  3. Next, you’ll be prompted to add phone.
  4. On your phone, click on the My Buick device name.
  5. To pair your phone with the car, ensure the PIN that appears on the phone matches the one on the vehicle. If they match, click yes on the car and pair the phone.
  6. Your phone is now connected.

2016 – 2019 Models

  1. Select the phone icon on your car screen. When a pair device prompt appears, click on it.
  2. Go to your phone settings and turn Bluetooth on to scan for the device, then select Buick Enclave.
  3. To connect your phone, confirm the PIN on your car display matches the one on your phone.
  4. Click YES on your car screen and OK on your phone.
  5. The message “pairing successful” will appear on the car display with your device name at the top of the screen

2014 – 2015 Models

Using Voice Command

  1. Press the voice command button to the right of your steering wheel.
  2. You will hear a prompt to “SAY YOUR COMMAND” or “HELP,” to which you will say “PAIR PHONE.”
  3. You will then hear the prompt “Follow instructions on the screen to pair a new Bluetooth device.”
  4. Go to your phone settings and turn Bluetooth ON and scan for devices. Then click on your vehicle’s name.
  5. Click OK on your phone to confirm the PIN on your car screen matches that on your phone.
  6. The message “successfully paired” appears on your car screen.

Method 2

  1. Click settings on your car display option, then click on the Bluetooth device list prompt.
  2. Click on the pair device option on the bottom left corner of your car display screen.
  3. Go to your phone settings and turn Bluetooth on, then click on Buick Enclave from your list of available devices.
  4. Confirm the PIN codes match, then click YES on your car display and PAIR on your phone to connect.
  5. The message “successfully paired” should appear on your car display.

2009 – 2013 Models

  1. Turn Bluetooth on from your phone settings.
  2. Push and hold for a second the phone button to the right of your steering wheel.
  3. You’ll hear a “READY” prompt. Say the voice command “BLUETOOTH.”
  4. Once you hear “BLUETOOTH READY,” Give the voice command “PAIR,” after which you will hear, “SEARCH ON YOUR PHONE BLUETOOTH,” prompting you to scan for devices.
  5. Select your vehicle’s Bluetooth on the available devices list and input the PIN that appears in the car display.
  6. Once you hear a prompt to set up your phone’s name on the car’s Bluetooth devices list, state a preferred name and confirm.
  7.  You will hear a message confirming a successful connection.
