Audi Q5: How to Open Trunk

The Audi Q5 has several ways of opening the trunk. Each of which depends on the car’s model year. The following are some of the ways to open the trunk:

2018 – 2023 Models

Using Your Foot

Note: A motion sensor at the rear of the car detects when the car key is in close proximity.

1. Wave your foot under the rear bumper either side-to-side or in a forward-kicking motion. This will trigger the hand’s free feature.
2. The trunk will then open automatically.

Using Keyfob

1. Locate the open trunk button on the keyfob; it should look like a car with an open trunk.
2. Press and hold the open trunk button until an alarm indicates the trunk is opening.
3. The trunk will then open automatically.

Inside the Car

1. Locate the trunk release button on the driver’s side left dash.
2. Press the trunk release button.
3. The trunk will then open.

Outside the Car

1. Locate the trunk release button underneath the car logo on the trunk.
2. Press the trunk button.
3. The trunk will then open automatically.

2008 – 2017 Models

Using Keyfob

1. Locate the open trunk button on the keyfob; it should look like a car with an open trunk.
2. Press and hold the open trunk button until the trunk pops open.
3. The trunk will then open automatically.

Inside the Car

1. Locate the trunk release button on the driver’s side left dash.
2. Pull the trunk release button up.
3. The trunk will then open.

Outside the Car

1. Locate the trunk release button underneath the car logo on the trunk.
2. Press the trunk button.
3. The trunk will then open automatically.
