The Audi Q5 has several ways of opening the trunk. Each of which depends on the car’s model year. The following are some of the ways to open the trunk:

2018 – 2023 Models
Using Your Foot
Note: A motion sensor at the rear of the car detects when the car key is in close proximity.
- Wave your foot under the rear bumper either side-to-side or in a forward-kicking motion. This will trigger the hand’s free feature.
- The trunk will then open automatically.
Using Keyfob
- Locate the open trunk button on the keyfob; it should look like a car with an open trunk.
- Press and hold the open trunk button until an alarm indicates the trunk is opening.
- The trunk will then open automatically.
Inside the Car
- Locate the trunk release button on the driver’s side left dash.
- Press the trunk release button.
- The trunk will then open.
Outside the Car
- Locate the trunk release button underneath the car logo on the trunk.
- Press the trunk button.
- The trunk will then open automatically.
2008 – 2017 Models
Using Keyfob
- Locate the open trunk button on the keyfob; it should look like a car with an open trunk.
- Press and hold the open trunk button until the trunk pops open.
- The trunk will then open automatically.
Inside the Car
- Locate the trunk release button on the driver’s side left dash.
- Pull the trunk release button up.
- The trunk will then open.
Outside the Car
- Locate the trunk release button underneath the car logo on the trunk.
- Press the trunk button.
- The trunk will then open automatically.
