Audi Q3: How to Open the Hood

Some people consider opening the hood of a car a simple process. But, this is not always the case. This guide details step-by-step instructions on opening the hood of your Audi Q3.

2019 – 2022 Models

1. Look for the hood release lever in the driver’s foot area close to the bottom edge of the door.
2. Pull the hood lever towards you until you hear the hood pop.
3. Place your hand around the center of the hood to feel the secondary hood lever.
4. Release the secondary hood lever.
5. Raise the hood to open.

2015 – 2018 Models

1. Locate the hood release lever on the driver’s side under the dashboard.
2. Pull the hood release lever.
3. The hood will pop up slightly.
4. Place your hand around the center of the hood to feel the safety clutch.
5. Release the safety clutch.
6. Place your hand under the hood and raise it open.

2011 – 2014 Models

1. With the driver’s door open, locate the hood release lever under the dashboard.
2. Pull the lever outwards and to the left.
3. The hood will pop up slightly.
4. Press the release clutch under the hood.
5. Place your hand under the hood and raise it to open.
