2014 – 2023 Models
- To open the hood, locate the hood release lever on the driver’s side to the lower left of the steering wheel.
- Grip the lever from the bottom and pull it toward you to pop the hood open.
- Exit the vehicle and go to the front of the hood.
- At the center of the car, feel around under the opening for the lever. Pull the latch while using your other hand to open the hood all the way.
- Extend the metal prop to prop the hood open while you are working.
2007 – 2013 Models
Note: The instructions are the same as above, but the hood release lever is to the right of the steering wheel in these models.
1998 – 2006 Models
- Locate the hood release lever to the left of the steering wheel on the driver’s side.
- Pull the hood release lever towards you to open the mechanism.
- Exit the car and walk to the hood of the car.
- At the center of the car, you will see a small opening where the hood has slightly lifted from the rest of the car. Insert your hand in this space and locate the secondary hood release latch.
- Pull the secondary hood release latch and open the hood.
