How to Program Key Fob in a Chrysler 300

2022 – 2023 Models

  1. Get into the driver’s seat and close all doors and windows.
  2. Insert the existing working key into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position (do not start the engine). Alternatively, some models may require pressing the “Engine Start/Stop” button twice without stepping on the brake pedal.
  3. Press and hold the “Lock” and “Unlock” buttons on the working key fob simultaneously for about 5-10 seconds. The vehicle’s lights will flash to indicate that the programming mode has been activated.
  4. While the vehicle is in programming mode, press the “Lock” button on the new key fob you want to program. The lights should flash again to confirm successful programming.
  5. If you have more than one new key fob to program, repeat step 4 for each additional key fob.
  6. Once you have programmed all the key fobs, turn off the ignition, or press the “Engine Start/Stop” button again.

2011 – 2021 Models

  1. Insert your existing key into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position (do not start the engine).
  2. Press and hold the “Unlock” button on the driver-side door panel while simultaneously turning the ignition key to the “OFF” position and then back to “ON” (Do this quickly and three times in total: OFF-ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON).
  3. Release the “Unlock” button, and you should hear the door locks cycle indicating the vehicle is in programming mode.
  4. Press and release the key fob’s “Lock” and “Unlock” buttons simultaneously.
  5. If you have more than one key fob to program, press and release the “Lock” and “Unlock” buttons on each additional key fob within 10 seconds of programming the previous one.
  6. The door locks will cycle again to confirm successful programming.
  7. Turn the ignition to the “OFF” position.

2005 – 2010 Models

  1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position (do not start the engine).
  2. Press and hold the “Unlock” button on the driver’s side door while also turning the key from the “OFF” to the “ON” position three times.
  3. Release the “Unlock” button and listen for the doors to lock and unlock, indicating the programming mode is active.
  4. Press any button on the key fob you want to program, and you should hear the doors lock and unlock again, indicating successful programming.
  5. Repeat the previous step if you have multiple key fobs to program.
  6. Turn the key to the “OFF” position to exit programming mode.
