Nissan Sentra: How to Reset Stereo System

Nissan Sentra stereos offer advanced features like Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, and USB ports to allow you to enjoy your favorite music while driving. Over time, you may need to reset the stereo system in your Nissan Sentra to get it back to factory settings.

2020 – 2023 Models

  1. Turn on your car’s ignition and ensure the stereo system is on.
  2. Press the “Menu” button on the stereo system.
  3. Use the arrow buttons on the stereo system to scroll down to the “Settings” option and press “Enter.”
  4. Scroll down to “System” and press “Enter.”
  5. Scroll down to “Factory Reset” and press “Enter.”
  6. The stereo system will ask you to confirm whether or not you want to proceed with the reset. Press “Enter” to confirm.
  7. The stereo system will then reset to its factory settings. This may take a few minutes.
  8. Once the reset is complete, the stereo system will turn off and then turn back on automatically.
  9. You must reprogram any radio stations, Bluetooth connections, and other settings you previously set up on the stereo system.

2013 – 2019 Models

  1. Turn on your car’s ignition and ensure the stereo system is on.
  2. Press and hold the “Audio” button for a few seconds until the system turns off.
  3. While holding the “Audio” button, press and hold the “Menu” button for a few seconds until the system turns back on.
  4. Release both buttons and wait for the system to display the “Test Mode” menu.
  5. Use the arrow buttons on the stereo system to scroll down to the “Initialize” option and press “Enter.”
  6. The stereo system will ask you to confirm whether or not you want to proceed with the reset. Press “Enter” to confirm.
  7. The stereo system will then reset to its factory settings. This may take a few minutes.
  8. Once the reset is complete, the stereo system will turn off and then turn back on automatically.

2007 – 2012 Models

  1. Turn on your car’s ignition and ensure the stereo system is on.
  2. Press and hold the “Power” button on the stereo system until the system turns off.
  3. While holding the “Power” button, press and hold the “Audio” button for a few seconds until the system turns back on.
  4. Release both buttons and wait for the system to display the “Diagnosis Menu.”
  5. Use the arrow buttons on the stereo system to scroll down to the “System Check” option and press “Enter.”
  6. Scroll down to “Self-Diagnosis” and press “Enter.”
  7. Scroll down to “Memory Clear” and press “Enter.”
  8. The stereo system will ask you to confirm whether or not you want to proceed with the reset. Press “Enter” to confirm.
  9. The stereo system will then reset to its factory settings. This may take a few minutes.
  10. Once the reset is complete, the stereo system will turn off and then turn back on automatically.

2000 – 2006 Models

  1. Turn on your car’s ignition and ensure the stereo system is on.
  2. Press and hold the “Power” button on the stereo system until the system turns off.
