  1. Turn on the ignition, but don’t start the engine.

  5. Continue holding both buttons until the “Engineering Menu” appears.
  6. Select “Factory Data Reset.”

2011 – 2017 Models

  1. Turn on the ignition, but don’t start the engine.
  2. Turn on the stereo and wait for it to fully load.
  3. Press and hold the “Menu” button until the “Audio Settings” menu appears.
  4. Use the arrow keys to select “System Settings” and press “Enter.”
  5. Scroll down to “Factory Data Reset” and press “Enter.”
  6. Select “Yes” and press “Enter” again to confirm the reset.
  7. Wait for the stereo to restart and test the sound to ensure the reset was successful.

1994 – 2010 Models

  1. Turn off the stereo by pressing the power button or turning the volume knob to the left.
  2. Locate the small rectangular reset button on the front of the stereo, typically near the power button or the bottom left corner of the faceplate.
  3. Use a small pointed object like a pen or a paper clip to press and hold the reset button for a few seconds.
  4. Release the reset button once the stereo display turns off or the unit beeps.
  5. Turn the stereo back on and test the sound to ensure the reset was successful.
