Most people ask how they can release or open the fuel door on their Ford Bronco. Depending on the Ford Bronco model, there are two major ways of opening the fuel cap.
2021 – 2023 Models
- Make sure the vehicle is unlocked with the engine turned off.
- Locate and walk to your fuel door.
- Push on the right side of the fuel door, and it will pop right open
- There is no gas cap. Put in the nozzle, and you’re good to go.
New Ford Bronco models have an easy fuel feature that locks itself after you remove the nozzle. This means you don’t have to worry about anything getting in the fuel tank after fueling.
1995 – 1996 Models
- Make sure the vehicle is unlocked with the engine turned off.
- Locate the fuel door release lever on the driver’s side floorboard.
- Pull the fuel door release lever; the fuel door will pop open.
- Remove the cap to fuel the vehicle.
