The Ford Fusion model allows you to access the trunk space in various ways. This gives you an easy option to open your trunk inside and outside the car. In this article, we highlight these options with easy-to-follow steps to open your trunk.
2019 – 2020 Models
Entry Code
- On your driver’s side door, locate the screen to enter your 5-digit code.
- Use your finger to scroll down the screen to activate it.
- Enter your key code.
- Once entered, select the 5-6 option.
- Your taillights will flash once.
- Your trunk door unlocks and opens.
- Use your hand to raise the trunk door fully.
From Inside the Car
- Locate the open trunk button on the left-hand side of the steering wheel next to the headlight controls.
- Press the open trunk button once.
- Your trunk door unlocks and opens.
- Use your hand to raise the trunk door fully.
Keyfob
- With your car locked, stand near your car.
- Locate the open trunk button on the keyfob.
- Press the open trunk button 2x in quick succession, then release.
- Your trunk door unlocks and opens.
- Use your hand to raise the trunk door fully.
Button on the Trunk Door
- Locate the trunk button on the trunk door just above the license plate.
- Press and release the open trunk button.
- Your trunk door unlocks and opens.
- Use your hand to raise the trunk door fully.
2006 – 2018 Models
From Inside the Car
- Locate the open trunk button on the left-hand side of the steering wheel next to the headlight controls.
- Press the open trunk button once.
- Your trunk door unlocks and opens.
- Use your hand to raise the trunk door.
Keyfob
- With your car locked, stand near your car.
- Find the open trunk button on the keyfob.
- Press the open trunk button twice in quick succession, then release.
- Your trunk will pop open slightly.
- Use your hand to raise the trunk door all the way.
Button on the Trunk Door
- Locate the trunk button on the trunk door just above the license plate.
- Press and release the open trunk button.
- Your trunk will unlock and open a little.
- Use your hand to lift the trunk all the way open.
