Opening the hood is a simple process. However, it can be frustrating if you don’t know where the lever is or how to release the safety catch. Below are directions for opening the hood of a Dodge Challenger.
2008 – 2023 Models
- Pull the lever under the dash. The lever will be on the left side.
- Exit the vehicle and walk to the front.
- Slide your hand under the hood.
- Push the safety catch to the left.
- Lift the hood.
Closing the Hood: When closing the hood, do not slam it shut. Slamming the hood can cause damage to your car. Lower the hood down and press firmly to engage both latches.
