The stereo in your Volkswagen Atlas is part of the “infotainment” system. This is a sophisticated mini-computer that delivers high-quality audio and information. However, it may develop an occasional glitch. Usually, a simple reset will get the system up and running perfectly. Try the following before you try anything else:
2018 – 2023 Models
- Turn the ignition on but don’t start the engine.
- On the left side of your infotainment console, you will see Radio, Media, Phone, and Voice buttons. Locate the button between media and phone.
- Press this button for 10 seconds. The screen will blink off and then show the time and date before going blank.
- Still pressing the button, you will hear a “Click.”
- The message “Welcome to Volkswagen” will appear then the system resets automatically.
If you attempt a stereo reset because of problems such as poor sound quality, your audio system might have a fault. Please contact your dealer if the problem persists.
