Are you wanting to know how to open the fuel door on the Nissan Sentra? You’re not the only one. We’ll show you where the fuel door release is located and how to open it with this tutorial.
2020 – 2023 Models
- The fuel door release latch is located on the driver’s side, to the left of the steering wheel, and under the dashboard.
- Pull the latch toward you to pop the gas tank door open.
- Exit the vehicle, open the fuel door, then turn the gas cap counter-clockwise to open.
2007 – 2019 Models
- Turn the car ignition off.
- Locate the fuel door lever on the bottom side of the dashboard beside the steering wheel. It is usually next to the hood release lever and is indicated with a gas pump icon.
- Pull the fuel door lever gently. This will pop the fuel door open,
- Unscrew the gas cap you find inside in a counterclockwise direction to open and gain access to the fuel chamber.
- Return the gas cap and turn it clockwise to seal it shut after refueling the vehicle,
- To close the fuel door, press gently on the fuel door until a click sound is heard.
