Refueling is one of the most frequent things you’ll need to do for your van, so it’s important to know how to operate the fuel flap. One of the Sprinter’s more interesting features is the fuel flap’s location. This guide will help you find and access the fuel door, so you can keep rolling.
2022 Models
- Turn off the engine.
- Open the fuel door, found just behind the driver’s side door.
- Turn the fuel cap counterclockwise and pull it out.
- Refuel your Sprinter.
- Replace the fuel cap and turn it clockwise until you hear a click.
- Close the fuel door.
2007 – 2021 Models
- Turn off the engine and the auxiliary heating. You may need to wait a few moments for the heating to turn itself off.
- Open the fuel door, found just behind the driver’s side door.
- Turn the fuel cap counterclockwise and pull it out.
- Refuel your Sprinter.
- Replace the fuel cap and turn it clockwise until you hear a click.
- Close the fuel door.
