Although you may need a code to reset your radio most of the time, a few tricks might give you a temporary fix as you get your code from your service provider. Here are some steps you can follow to reset different Toyota Corolla model years.
2020 – 2023 Models
With a Code
- Turn the vehicle on to turn on the radio.
- Press the power button on the radio.
- Press and hold the number 1 button and the up 🔼 arrow on the left side of the radio simultaneously.
- You will see four dashes appear on the display.
- Input the stereo code using the corresponding preset buttons 1-6.
- You will get three chances to put in your code properly, or you will lock the system. If it locks, you’ll need to visit the dealer for help.
Without a Code
- Turn the vehicle on to turn on the radio.
- If the screen says “CODE,” turn off the radio.
- Press the Down 🔽 Button and the Power Button for 60 seconds.
It should bypass the stereo and gives you access to music and radio.
2014 – 2019 Models
- Turn the vehicle on to turn on the radio.
- Press the power button on the radio.
- Wait 10 seconds, then turn your radio off.
- Depress the radio power button again and wait for a reset.
If that doesn’t work, try the following:
- Press and hold the Audio system power button for 3 seconds.
- Then a menu will pop up and ask if you want to reboot the system. Follow the prompts to confirm.
