If your Chevy Tahoe’s sound system is bugging out, here are some guides that should resolve the issue.
2017 – 2022 Models
Modern Tahoe models come with a MyLink system that makes it simple to troubleshoot problems.
- Turn on your vehicle.
- Select the System tab on the touchscreen and scroll to the bottom of the menu.
- Select Return to Factory Settings.
- From here, you have two options: Reset Vehicle Settings and Erase Settings and Personal Data. For a full reset, use both of these options—choose one, then repeat the process for the other.
- A warning prompt will appear for each choice. Select Erase to proceed with the resets.
2016 Models and Earlier
On older Chevy Tahoe models, there’s a much simpler method.
- Start your car and find the OnStar buttons—they will be just under the rearview mirror or on the ceiling towards the front of your Tahoe’s interior.
- Press the button on the left—it should look like a seated person with curved lines around their head. Once you press this button, the sound system will say, “OnStar ready.”
- Press the button again—the sound system should say, “Thank you. Goodbye.” The sound system has reset.
