All car owners and drivers perform basic maintenance on their vehicles. Before doing maintenance, you need to know how to open the hood. Below are the steps to opening the hood of a Toyota Tundra.
1999 – 2022 Models
- Open the driver’s door.
- Look for the latch next to the door frame on the bottom of the dashboard. (It will not have a picture of a car with an open hood, and the latch will be the same color as the dashboard).
- Pull the latch. The hood will pop up.
- Walk to the front of the vehicle.
- Place your right hand, palm up, under the hood near the emblem.
- Push up on the latch and lift on the hood simultaneously.
