Nissan Quest: Reset Maintenance/Service Notification

The service light indicator or the maintenance/service notification reminds you that your car is due for routine maintenance after clocking specific mileage. This guide details resetting the maintenance/service notification on a Nissan Quest.

It’s essential to note that Nissan stopped production of the Nissan Quest in 2017.

2011 – 2017 Models

  1. Turn on the ignition but don’t start the engine.
  2. On the right side of the steering wheel, you’ll see three buttons, the square, circle, and trip reset buttons.
  3. Press the square button several times, then go to Settings.
  4. Next, press the Circle button several times to go to Maintenance.
  5. Press the Square button to enter.
  6. Press the Circle button to select the Oil menu, then press the Square button to enter.
  7. Press the Circle button to set the miles, then use the Square button to save.
  8. Select Reset using the Circle button, and enter with the Square button.
  9. Finally, save your service/maintenance notification reset by pressing the square button.

2000 – 2010 Models

  1. Turn the ignition on without starting the car.
  2. Wait three seconds.
  3. Push the accelerator fully five times in under five seconds.
  4. Take your foot off the accelerator and wait 7 seconds.
  5. Push and hold the accelerator for about 10 seconds or until the indicator light starts flashing.
  6. Release the accelerator pedal.
  7. Turn the ignition to the off position and then start the car. The service notification will go off.
