Hyundai Tucson: Reset Stereo System

2005 – 2022 Models

You can reset the stereo system of the Hyundai Tucson in two ways: using the factory reset button and turning the fuse off and on.

Using the Factory Reset Button

1. Turn on the ignition. Don’t start the engine.
2. Turn on the stereo system.
3. Locate the factory reset button. It is a tiny pinhole, usually on any of the four corners of the stereo system.
4. Use a sharp object to press the button until the stereo system turns off. The object can be a paperclip, pin, or ballpoint pen.
5. The screen turns on after a few seconds and displays the Hyundai logo.
6. Your stereo is reset, and everything should work normally.

Turn the Fuse Off and On

1. Turn on the ignition but keep the engine off.
2. Turn on the stereo system.
3. Pull the fuse box cover on the left lower side of the instrument panel to reveal the fuse.
4. Use a sharp object to turn off the fuse.
5. Wait for a few seconds, then turn on the fuse.
6. That process should reset your stereo.
